Ye ol’ blog is going away for a few days – I’m moving, and my sister is getting married on Saturday! Congrats to Liz and Grant. Below are some precious pictures of them (+me) as wee babes, unknowing as to what the glorious future holds… which I think is a lovely reminder that no matter what is going on our lives today, we are unaware as to what blessings lay before us.
A great quote I found on the Krishna Das website last night (which you should check out for the music and some great spiritual insight… Krishna Das is a now-famous guru of Yogic chanting, and it is quite beautiful):
Place your burden
at the feet of the Lord of the Universe
who accomplishes everything.
Remain all the time steadfast in the heart,
in the Transcendental Absolute.
God knows the past, present and future.
He will determine the future for you
and accomplish the work.
What is to be done will be done
at the proper time. Don’t worry.
Abide in the heart and surrender your acts
to the divine.
– Ramana Maharshi
On that note, and back to design, I leave you with some lovely news – Amy Butler bedding is coming out in July… very exciting indeed, and let’s hope it’s affordable. Some of my favorites, courtesy of decor8 (all images link to original decor8 post):
